About Supervision:
I am a board-approved supervisor in the State of Texas and I provide both individual or group supervision. In order to be under supervision and to practice clinical social work in the State of Texas, you must hold a masters degree in social work from an accredited university, and be licensed in the State of Texas as an LMSW. The applicant completes a minimum of 100 hours of face-to-face supervision with a board approved supervisor (that is me!), while simultaneously gaining 3000 hours of professional work experience. To obtain your 3000 work hours, expect to work full time about 30 hours a week for 24 months or part time about 15 hours a week for 48 months. You must be under supervision and meet with a state approved supervisor during that whole period. You are required to have at least 4 hours weekly of clinical work. I can provide an opportunity for your 4 hours of clinical work through my practice. (This can all be confusing... good news is I'VE GOT YOU!)
